my first washcloth

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading?~ Ginny

I've knitted my first washcloth ever!
-after knitting a vest, mittens, hat etc.
-yes, I know people usually start by knitting washcloths when they are learning how to knit, but so far I didn't know where I would use it.

now I know. Washcloths are perfect for bucket showers. And where do you take bucket showers?
in africa people!
and so I made my own pattern because I couldn't find any chart with the map of africa online...
and it came out pretty nice :)
I'll write the pattern down and post it somewhere...

still not reading anything but school books - not worth posting :P
_______

what are you reading/knitting/crocheting right now? :)

  1. Now that's a fine washcloth! I too started knitting wash / dishcloths only recently and I'm pretty much hooked. It's a great way to use up stashed cotton yarn and cleaning is more fun with colourful cloths, really =)

  5. I love that! The stitching around Africa makes it totally unique. I will definitely make one or more of these if you share the pattern. My cousin just adopted a boy from Africa, so she needs one for sure!
