yarn along-smitten mitten 2

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? ~ Ginny (Small things)

I'm not reading anything interesting right now - apart from Biochemistry book (yuck!)
...and I won't be knitting for a while ...but somehow I managed to finish the top part of one mitten! yay! ...and I've already started another "top" ... it's a free pattern from Ravelry, but I've changed it a bit - adding lamas with wings - a.k.a. hippogriffs, and also, I'm not knitting in a round..and I've changed the bottom ....but it's basically the same kind of a mitten... :D :D :) I hope you like it...

life's pretty boring right now - with exams and all...

  7. Your mitten looks great!
Latvian women had to knit over 100 pairs of mittens for their wedding day. These were then given to everyone who helped out - from someone who carried flowers to someone who cooked the meal. Those days are long gone, from what they tell me.
Happy knitting and hope the biochemistry exam goes smoothly

  9. How awesome! I love those colors and the fact that the pattern is now your own. Isn't it like a recipe... change 3 things and it becomes yours?
