yarn along - scarf continued...

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading?~ Ginny

I'm still working on the "My favorite things" scarf ...I've added latvian braid and my own "llama" pattern, plus few motives from the original pattern. I'll work on this piece for a while so get ready to see it every wednesday - at least until Christmas...
I'm not reading anything right now as all my books stayed home and I'm currently at school  - trying to concentrate on lectures and labs...

the button on the picture is currently on Sale - we've decided to "promote" one button each week and offer lower price, so this week... WINTER BELLS

some time ago I baked carrot-cake muffins and everyone loved them. The recipe is from Smitten Kitchen - my all time favorite baking/cooking blog...

Rainy weather is gone (for now) and we're going to school on bikes, so the other day (night) we've decided to go to the downtown at night, to meet few friends and catch up on life in general - on bikes - and it rained all the way home ...while we waited for them to show up, we got ourselves chocolate ice cream and hang out at the park with the "music fountain"..great opportunity to snap few pics...

  6. That last photo is stunning--what an interesting place! And, what an experience, riding in the rain. Did your brakes work okay? Those carrot muffins look scrumptious. I love, love, LOVE your scarf. It will be fun to watch its progress over the next weeks. When I was in school I had so little free time that the last thing I wanted to do with it was more reading. : )

  7. Love the scarf, particularly the little alpacas! I have always been leery of knitting scarves because I've been afraid they'd get boring after a few feet, hehe ... but I love how the one you're knitting keeps changing and how you can add your own elements to the pattern. :)
