neverending blanket...

knitted and crocheted triangles are finished - all done! ...and now we'll embarque on a tedious journey of stitching them together - eeew!

I'm already planning on adding thin black (or some other color - any suggestions?) fabric on the back to hide all the ends I'd have to wave in if I didn't... and there's also the edge - there's no way how I'm going to crochet a decent edge around it - the blanket is huge!
-so nice fabric edge should be nice enough...

it's supposed to be a blanket for my room in Portugal (if I ever finish the exams - please pray, pray, pray that I do) and I should leave 6th september so there's not much time left.

-reading Bible - or at least looking up some encouraging quotes in there - while I read notes from lectures about pathologic physiology and pharmacology.

...anyway, Ginny has a guest-post for today's yarn along so you should read it if you didn't yet -  it's really cute and I laughed out loud many times - literally :)

  1. I am not a crocheter, but I don't see why you couldn't put a thin fabric backing on your blanket. The colores look really nice.
I do wish you all the prayers to finish your exams, I can only imagine how hard you have had to study.
My birthday is the 6th of September so I'll think of you!

  2. I like the idea of putting a back on your blanket. Can't wait to see what you decide on.

  3. Oh, I've been busy and away. I've missed seeing what you have been up to in the handwork kingdom! Gorgeousness, of course. I like the idea of a fabric backing. Flannel maybe? I love how soft flannel becomes though it can be too, too warm down here for comfort!

  5. Good luck with your exams - looking forward to see the finished blanket! I did something similar a while back when I couldn't face weaving in tons of ends on a knitted blanket - but that was just baby size! ;)
