and now, there is a baby coming to this world,
coming to save our souls and she knows it, Mary knows He's the son of God.
she wants Him to be here already, she wants to hold Him close to her heart, stay up all night and take care of Him, but not because He is God, not because He came for the world.
She wants to coo over Him and watch His tiny hand wrap around Joseph's finger and giggle because He is her son.

Just as every baby who is born is miracle and a gift from God, just as every mom sees the world in her baby, Mary saw her son.
And for that split second He wasn't the son of God who came to die for us, He was little baby boy in hands of his mom and the world stood still.

ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful Christmas season so far...today is the 11th day of Christmas!!! We actually celebrate the NATIVITY of Christ in 2 more days (I'm an Orthodox Christian and we follow the old calendar) THEN our 12 days start! And wishes for blessed 2012 to you!!!
