surrounded by whispers
of dandelions and elves,
and fireflies
in valleys fly above lakes
I close my eyes
eyelashes brushing
against your chin,
touching my world
I do not breathe
afraid to chase you away
I do not fear dark
my sweet friend darkness
who holds me at night
alone, in the tall grass
leaves caressing my closed eyes
where your hands should be
whipping away silent tears
stars do not shine this night
hanging from the skies
sadly like myriads of prisoners at dawn.
morning shall come
and find me here
at the very same place
a dream about you left me
after two mornings we will meet
I will count the hours
until I see you one more time.
