yarn along - poetry of finished project...

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading?~ Ginny

I've finished the sweater (yesterday) and it feels so good to have it off the needles.
I loved knitting it!
it was my first big project - and it was only 3.5mm needles! - I always thought I'll never knit a sweater on needles smaller than 10mm :D ...but it was easy and it took only 2 weeks!
I still have plenty of time left before autumn starts :)
Here is Ravelry link.
AND my photo is featured on the main Ravelry page for the pattern!

I've been reading Keats lately.
Yes, I've started Milton's Paradise Lost some time ago and I love it but it's taking a lot of time and energy to read - and it's pretty slow reading because my English isn't quite there yet :D
so I switched to Selected Poetry by John Keats and I'm in love.

my favorite so far is Ode to a Nightingale - it was one of Keats' first poems I've read and now I can almost say it by heart - I've read it that many times.

Nothing new on the needles - because my head is full of anatomy and Keats right now. Maybe I'll cast on something before next week's Yarn Along.

Happy reading and Happy knitting everyone!

PS: this is how much yarn I have left:

Isn't it a little scary sometimes when we come down to the last few yards of yarn?

  10. The sweater is lovely. Amazing that's all the yarn left. I checked on Ravelry - it has thumb holes in the sleeves? Or am I seeing things. I guess it's a good way to keep the sleeves from riding up.

  14. Love, love, love your cardigan. I am totally in awe of you knitting it in fingering weight. My husband keeps telling me I should knit him something in that sort of yarn, and I always maintained that it would take me ten years. Maybe it is possible after all! But then, if I do start something adult size, maybe it should be for me. Just to try it out... :)
