WRITING STATIONERY
-this doesn't really need a tutorial, because I'm sure everyone can cut out shapes from paper and stick them to another paper, but maybe it will inspire someone.
you will need plain white paper (or any color you want - but keep it light because you are gonna write letters on it!)
-we had ordinary A4 white paper that daddy uses for the printer - I'm sure you have some at home...if you don't, then get some old checkered notepad paper or even a paper with lines.
(I just prefere plain)
and some old magazines or newspaper etc.
I keep all nice pictures from newspaper in one bag - they can be off topic - you will only use parts of them.
keep your eyes wide open and look for interesting patterns/colors/etc.
then cut out any shape you want - flowers, stars, animals, ... keep it simple.
then glue them to the white paper
now go and write someone a letter.
nothing big, just a simple note to a friend who lives across the street, or your grandma, etc.
write to someone who's not expecting it. Believe me, it will make their day.
JUST A FRIENDLY TIP:
-keep a paper with your letter on your desk and add little bits here and there - funny moments from your day, a joke you heard etc. it might take you a week to finish the letter but it's ok, just have fun with it :)
-it is nice to make a matching envelope, but some post-offices won't accept envelopes which have decoration on the side where you write the address so keep it simple and maybe on the front of the envelope? - or just get some plain color envelopes - they look nice and don't need to be decorated.
-if you decide to decorate all around the paper sheet, make sure the pictures won't fall off when you fold the letter.

Nice and funny! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy girls will love this craft, thanks for sharing x
ReplyDeleteNice post, I'm off to go dash off some letters! I hope you find your address book!
ReplyDeleteYour homemade stationery is so cute! I also love the profile pic with the sweater you made, it looks amazing! And yes, it's completely okay and maybe even normal to have a crush on a fictional character. Luna is awesome. In high school I was pretty much in love with Trent from Daria.
ReplyDeleteLove this!
