this is another cowl - already finished - it's crocheted so it was a quick project :) (using same yarn as for the enterlac one) but I combined it with a little bit of fuchsia yarn :)
it's crocheted in a round and goes around my neck two times :)
I'm not reading anything right now - only school books and that's not interesting enough to share with you :)
....
I want avocado. I NEED avocado. but not the ones they sell at the market, I want one fresh from the tree, one which grew under african sun.
we used to have the best avocado-tomato sandwiches for breakfast - with egg on Wednesday and Sunday... but there's no way how I could make such amazing sandwich here.
We have all ingredients all right, but to really enjoy your breakfast you need to be freezing, your bare feet (covered in red dust) catching first blinks of sunshine and you need a cup of Grace's Chai.
that's how you enjoy avocado sandwiches.
-I have a skein of yarn - avocado color - that's why I remembered this, and I just wanted to share :)
love the cowl and I understand about the avocado sandwich ... hard to find a really good one (almost as hard as finding a good avocado!).
ReplyDeleteMmmm, avocado. You have me craving one now :). And the color? It's a beautiful color!! I have never had one directly off the tree. Perhaps it should go on my bucket list :). BTW, working on your squares, will have them in the mail soon!!
ReplyDeletethat is a beautiful cowl!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors of that cowl. I like projects that are quick and easy and smallish. Did you follow a pattern or make it up?
ReplyDeleteThe cowl is beautiful! I want one! The avocado sandwiches sound delightful! YUM!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful story. The cowl is pretty, very bright and cheerful!
ReplyDeleteI love that cowl... do you have a pattern?? And I LOVE that yarn!! I think I'll have to go eat an avocado now!!
ReplyDeleteFresh avocado, yum. I have two that need eating today. I think they are going to become guacamole. They weren't picked fresh off a tree though. I love your cowl. Jacinta
ReplyDeleteWe had a wonderful bit of guacamole for dinner. It was just a boring grocery store avocado, but it worked. Once I had a bacon, avocado and gorgonzola sandwich on waffles and it was amazing.
ReplyDeleteI envy the crocheting. It makes me say lots of bad words, and loudly.
