we left at 7:30 a.m. and were ready to go to the forest around nine. Wearing bright orange vests and frozen smiles. It was cold.
after official start and safety instructions and a couple of speeches we left...
there were lots of awesome brave dogs and their masters who took good care of them....
doggies were waiting patiently all morning....
approx. half of the people who joined the hunt today....
dog and his master depending on each other.
we were lucky the sun was shining but our toes were freezing anyway...
and I had to constantly ask someone to tuck my mittens inside my sleeves...
after the first part was over we all met here...
and walked back to the starting point ...
we tried to keep warm or at least have fun and forget about the cold...
we took lots of pictures...
and then the second part of the hunt started - and it was even colder than in the morning...
safety first - orange sea....
and lots of waiting again...
and everything from that point went down the hill...
the hunt was over quickly but...
an old hog broke a leg of one of the dogs. Brave brave dog... he should be ok, but it will take time. He didn't even cry.
the ceremony at the end...
and the ride home...
it was beautiful day, except for the killing part...
Wow! I've never been hunting before. It looks like you had fun, despite the cold and the killing part.. ;-)
