yarn along -train ride edition

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a single photo and share it either on your blog ~ Ginny

just using the bits and ends of the yarn from different projects... I love using leftovers - either in knitting/crocheting or in the kitchen :D

anyway... I'm making a blanket - "Weasley family style" blanket - with different squares with lots of colors, a little bit chaotic but homemade with love :)
one day it will have it's permanent place in my living room on some armchair in front of a fireplace or maybe it will cover bed of one of my kids...you know, in the future...so calm down mom - no immediate kid-plans :D

and I would love to make it a blanket of friendship - you know, if I find enough people who would like to participate...

I thought that if someone else would like to make this kind of a blanket - with different squares, then maybe we could make a little "exchange"?
-I would send you one square of mine and you could send me one of yours? - that way, many of the squares on the blanket would have their own story and it would be more random-colored :)
so let me know if you'd like to do something like that :)

oh and I'm reading Corduroy Mansions - funny little book (because I left my copy of Eat, Pray, Love in our school apartment back there and right now I'm at home...)

  6. I've always wanted to crochet some granny squares, but held back because I'm not sure I'd have the patience to sew them all together at the end!

  7. I would love to do an exchange but I don't know how to crochet yet. I just last week made a flower. It is on my list to learn. If I do I will be in touch to do an exchange. Such a great idea!
