proclaiming november - the month of comfort-food

this would be much easier if I could find canned chickpeas in our store. for some reason - unknown to humanity- same as the miracles of nature we'll never be able to comprehend - they just don't have it there...
and so dried chickpeas was happily soaking in a pot with water - presoaking - to use the proper terminology...
and a big chickpeas-addict I am - we ended with a cup of presoaked chickpeas more and so I coated it with olive-oil and sea-salt and throw it into the oven -where it's still baking "roasting" and it's still the same as it was an hour before. - one more unexplained miracle...

anyway... I boiled two carrots with some salt and butter

and finally, after a night of soaking/presoaking/etc. I boiled chickpeas and with some ol' pineapple from our fridge and a gulp of olive-oil I mixed it with the carrots. Meanwhile, we were all impatiently waiting for the water to boil as by this point we were pretty much starving to death.

and finally, adding more salt and cooked pasta with tomato-sauce and olives (bought in a grocery-store) - no stunning home made recipe- sorry...

that's it...disappeared in seconds (I guess any pasta would have - because when you're hungry, you're hungry but) I think it was delicious and simple :)
and it left me with a snack -which now, when I'm typing this - if disappearing as well.
why, yes! you're right, the chickpeas finally made it's mind and decided it'll be better to give up and roast... whatever... it's crunchy and delicious :)
